In 1991, together with his wife Catherine, Cliff started Escobar & Escobar Concrete. As Escobar & Escobar Concrete Cliff continued to build on his hard work and became one of the most successful concrete contractors in Northern California. Cliff has constructed projects all over the United States and Mexico for a wide variety of clients including many Silicon Valley giants.

Always at the cutting edge of concrete development, Cliff was one of the first contractors in California to own and operate a Somero Laser Screed. He was also one of the pioneers of pervious concrete in California starting to promote and install the material nearly ten years ago.  Recently, Cliff managed the installation of the largest pervious concrete project in Santa Cruz County history in Soquel.

In August 2008, Cliff joined Robert A. Bothman, Inc of San Jose, CA as the Salinas Branch Manager bringing his unique skills, passion and experience of the concrete industry to RAB one of the Bay Areas premier General Building and Engineering Contractors. Cliff is responsible for RAB's SouthBay and CentralCoast operations. In addition, Cliff spearheads RAB's promotion of pervious concrete to the design and specification community in Northern California and Hawaii and was instrumental in training RAB staff to achieve NRMCA and ACI certifications.

Cliff has made concrete his life and has been actively promoting its use and building with the material his entire career. He has been a member of the ACI for thirty years and achieved California Industry Expert status in 1994.

In addition to spending time with his wife, Catherine and his four children, Cliff enjoys making wine from his family vineyards and loves Border Collies.
