This project included roadway re-construction and a seawall featuring demolition of the existing street section. There was footing excavation, extensive de-watering, cast-in-place concrete foundation up to 4 feet below sea level, as well as excavation and fill at the existing bluff embankment. Extensive drainage infrastructure and wall sub-drainage was done and a tie-back supported reinforced colored shotcrete retaining wall was built, in addition to the tie back supported concrete grade beams and guardrail columns. There was also a new roadway paving section, and installment of handrails and utilities.
