Project Description:
We built a new student service, academic, building at West Valley-Mission Community College. The project included a two-story (20,000 sqft per level) building with decorative site concrete, spread footings, grade beams, concrete slab-on-deck, concrete slab-on-grade including base rock and vapor barrier, concrete curbs, retaining walls and seat walls, approximately18,600 sqft of flatwork with acid-etched top cast finish of Solomon Pale Greycolor and 1,340 Sqft of seeded aggregate finish (top cast used to expose the aggregate better) of Solomon Smoke color. There were also approximately 141 LF of curved seatwalls and five 8 foot long seatwalls utilizing form liner moldsthat recreated the look of linear board form finish patterns. The final touches included retaining walls to hold planters along ADA walkways, concrete stairs, along the building and atthe bio-retention area.
