Canyon Middle School

The 7.6-acre Canyon Middle School Sports Complex creates a dynamic new space for athletics, recreation, and community connection. Delivered through a lease-leaseback partnership with Castro Valley Unified School District and Hayward Area Recreation and Park District, the project features more than 331,000 square feet of synthetic turf, with fields that can accommodate four full-size soccer fields or eight smaller fields, along with two baseball/softball fields.

The complex also includes scoreboards, bleachers, batting cages, dugouts, walking paths, ADA-accessible entry points, and a community entry plaza. Made possible through voter-approved bond funding, the project provides students and the community with a place to compete, connect, and create lasting memories for years to come.
