Golden West Middle School Campus Expansion Receives Two ENR Awards
Robert A. Bothman Construction is pleased to share that the Golden West Middle School Campus Expansion has received two 2026 ENR Northern California awards for Best K-12 Education and Excellence in Safety.
Bothman Construction completed the site and concrete work, including the play area synthetic turf, for Travis Unified School District, working alongside XL Construction and TimberQuest™. The expansion added four new permanent mass timber classroom buildings, providing additional classroom space for Golden West students, and was delivered in time for the start of the 2025 school year.
Out work on the campus included site demolition, grading, lime treatment, underground utilities, asphalt paving, site concrete, play area synthetic turf, site furnishings and a shade structure. The extensive site improvements were coordinated with the construction of the new mass timber classroom buildings and the project’s accelerated schedule.
The ENR Best K-12 Education award recognizes the overall success of the Golden West Middle School Campus Expansion, while the Excellence in Safety award recognizes the project team’s commitment to maintaining a safe construction environment throughout the work.
We’re honored to have contributed to a project recognized not only for the finished product, but also for the safety, coordination and teamwork demonstrated throughout construction.
Congratulations to our crews and all of the project partners who helped make the Golden West Middle School Campus Expansion a success.
